de: Aus aktuellem Anlass - am 8. März ist Weltfrauentag - werfen wir einen Blick auf den Anteil an Frauen in den Parlamenten der EU.
Die Parlamente mit dem höchsten Frauenanteil in der EU finden sich im Norden (Schweden und Finnland) sowie in Spanien. In diesen Länder ist das Verhältnis zwischen Männer und Frauen fast ausgeglichen. In Dänemark, den Niederlanden, Deutschland, Belgien, Slowenien und Portugal sind immerhin etwas mehr als ein Drittel der Abgeordneten weiblich. Auffällig ist die geringe Präsenz weiblicher Parlamentsmitglieder in Frankreich. In keinem anderen westeuropäischen Land sind weniger Frauen im Parlament vertreten.
Am unteren Ende dieser Statistik befinden sich die Länder Osteuropas, wobei besonders in einigen Ländern Südosteuropas kaum Frauen in den Parlamenten zu finden sind. Den geringsten Frauenanteil in der EU hat das ungarische Parlament. Darauf folgen Zypern, Malta und Rumänien.

The parliaments with the highest proportion of women in the EU can be found in the northern countries (Sweden and Finland) as well as in Spain. In these countries, the relationship between men and women is almost equal. In Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Slovenia and Portugal just over one third of the members of parliament are female. Striking is the low presence of women France's parliament. In no other Western European country, fewer women are represented in parliament.
At the bottom of these statistics are the countries of Eastern Europe, where especially in some countries of South Eastern Europe hardly any women are to be found in the parliaments. The lowest proportion of women in the EU is in the Hungarian Parliament. This is followed by Cyprus, Malta and Romania.
